How does screenshot monitoring work?
TopSlice captures periodic screenshots at intervals you configure (e.g., every 5 or 10 minutes). Employees can see, blur, or delete any screenshot before it syncs. Managers only see approved captures. Full privacy controls are built in.
Does it work without internet?
Absolutely. TopSlice is offline-first. All time tracking, screenshots, and activity data are stored locally on your device. When you reconnect to the internet, everything syncs automatically — no data is ever lost.
What platforms are supported?
TopSlice has native desktop apps for macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel), Windows 10/11, and Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, and other distributions). The web dashboard works in any modern browser.
Can I track time for multiple projects?
Yes. On the Free plan you can track one project. Premium and Elite plans support unlimited projects with the ability to switch between them instantly. Time entries are automatically categorized by project.
